Overview
This is a foundational course designed to equip learners with essential knowledge and skills required to work safely in the construction industry. With guidance from our experienced trainers, this short course equips graduates with the essential knowledge, skills, and awareness to work safely in the construction industry, access operational construction zones or sites, and enter any location where construction work is taking place.
A White Card may be required by:
Construction site personnel, including managers, supervisors, surveyors, labourers, and tradespeople.
Individuals entering active construction areas without direct supervision or accompaniment by an inducted worker.
Employees whose job responsibilities involve regular access to active construction zones (including some security officers).

WHS Legislation and Compliance: Overview of workplace health and safety regulations and the importance of adherence.
Hazard Identification and Risk Control: Recognising, assessing, and reporting construction hazards, along with understanding risk control measures.
Safe Work Practices: Guidelines on safe manual handling, equipment operation, and ensuring site safety.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Proper selection, use, and maintenance of safety gear like helmets, gloves, boots, and high-visibility clothing.
Safety Signs and Symbols: Identifying and interpreting safety signs and symbols on construction sites.
Worker’s Responsibilities and Duty of Care: Understanding the roles and responsibilities of all workers in maintaining a safe work environment.
Risk Management and Personal Awareness: Performing risk management duties and demonstrating awareness in potentially dangerous situations.
Safety Communication and Emergency Response: Effective communication of safety information and the execution of emergency response procedures.

The course is delivered over 1 day in a face-to-face simulated classroom-based environment, with trainer-led scenarios and practical demonstrations.

Before attending practical training, we require candidates to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test.
The minimum age for training is 14 years old. Be aware for those under 18 years, a parent or guardian must accept responsibility for your enrolment and sign for you.
For SafeWork NSW to be able to issue your White Card, we must collect three (3) forms of valid identification per SafeWork NSW guidelines. These documents must be provided before your booking can be confirmed. Click for further information.
Within the 100 points, applicants must be able to show the following;
Photo
Date of Birth
Full legal name
Signature
Current NSW residential address
For training: ID needs to be the ORIGINAL documents. NO photos or photocopies are accepted. Without 100 points, students will not be accepted into the class. IF YOU DO NOT BRING THE REQUIRED ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS TO BE SIGHTED BY YOUR TRAINER TO THE TRAINING, YOU CANNOT COMPLETE THE TRAINING. This is a SafeWork NSW requirement.

International students are accepted into this course.
USI (Unique Student Identifier) is required. From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI - www.usi.gov.au.

Our White Card course requires one full day of face-to-face, classroom-based training (up to 8 hours), including theory and practical assessments with allocated breaks, and as per SafeWork NSW regulations, the White Card cannot be issued through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
As this is a short course, we do not accept deposits to secure a place on the course, we require full payment prior to commencing.
We offer same day certification! You will be ready to commence work when you leave the classroom!
On successful completion of the training you will receive a digital Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
You will also receive a SafeWork NSW Certificate of Completion (valid for 60 days from the course completion date), which may also be used in the interim to provide to your employer as evidence of course completion from a SafeWork-approved NSW RTO (until your White Card arrives in the post - a digital White Card is also available by adding it through the Service NSW app).
This card does not expire, however if you have not worked on a construction site for 2 years or more, SafeWork NSW recommends attending a course to update your skills and knowledge.
